The Indus Valley Civilization is one of the oldest and materially advanced civilizations in the world, which established the highest examples of urban planning and social governance in human history through architectural perfection, organized roads, unparalleled drainage systems, and standardized weights and measures. This research study presents a detailed analysis of the religious concepts, urban organization, economic activities and cultural impact of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization in the light of archaeological evidence, authentic historical sources and modern scientific and historical studies. Despite the passage of thousands of years, it still exists in the life of the subcontinent today. The results of this research clearly show that this civilization stabilized the economy of the ancient world through agricultural production, handicrafts, pottery and international (land and sea) trade links. Furthermore, the study confirms the fact that this great civilization of Mohenjo-Daro and Harappa did not completely disappear. Rather, its intellectual and cultural essence, such as early traces of yoga, goddess worship, traditions of dress and jewelry, and peaceful social values remain still an integral part of the cultural identity and way of life of South Asia. Overall, this paper highlights the indelible mark left by the Indus Valley in shaping human civilization and the history of the region. These sources confirm that the intellectual and cultural spirit of the ancient Indus is still an important part of the identity of the region today. The research paper followed descriptive and analytical methods.
