Guidelines For Authors
Al-Mīthāq (Research Journal of Islamic Theology) feels honor in providing a platform by publishing original material of interest to the research scholars. Al-Mīthāq is an academic refereed journal published biannually. Unsolicited manuscripts will be welcomed here according the instructions which are given below:
Manuscript Submission
Submit soft copy of the manuscript via Open Journal System (OJS). Manuscripts should not be submitted through Fax or email. To facilitate academic review and production, authors must provide their complete name, address, phone number(s), current position/title, and name(s) of Institute on the title page. Manuscripts will be considered for publication only if they have not been published earlier and are not under consideration for publication somewhere else.
The review procedure manuscripts that are submitted to Al-Mīthāq are subject to evaluation by at least two independent referees who are expert in the relevant field. The decision to accept or reject a manuscript rests solely with Al-Mīthāq’s Editorial Team. This decision will be final. The Editorial Team will, however, base its decision primarily upon the recommendations of the referees who have evaluated the paper.
Format Requirements
- General Requirements: Unsolicited manuscripts must be written in English/Urdu/Arabic. The manuscript should be written in only Microsoft Word, A4 size paper with margins of at least 1.5 inches (4cm) on left for English and on right for Urdu/Arabic, no other template will be accepted. The total length of the paper should not exceed 18 pages. Paper title font should be 18pt, text in Urdu: 14pt, English & Arabic: 12pt, All Headings: 15pt (Bold) while the references font must be 12pt. Required fonts as per given below:
- Times New Roman for English.
- Jameel Noori Nastaliq for Urdu.
- Sakkal Majalla for Arabic.
Begin each of the following section on separate page and in the following order:
- Title page
- Abstract
- Introduction
- Results & Conclusions,
- References
Number pages consecutively, beginning with the title page. Type the page number in the bottom right-hand corner of each page in English, and in the bottom left-hand corner of each page in Urdu and Arabic.
- Abstracts: Provide on a separate page an abstract of 150 to 200 words followed by the keywords for respective article. This abstract should consist of Introduction and background in short, Adopted Methodology, Research Question and Conclusion. They should briefly describe, respectively, the problem being addressed in the study, how the study was performed, the salient result and what the authors conclude from the results.
- Key Words: Minimum 05 Key Words relating to the article subject should be given.
- Introduction: Discuss the purpose of the Research and summarize the foundation for the study.
- Results & Conclusion: Describe your results in logical classification at the end of the text. The conclusion of the study should be expressed very clearly and an influential perspective.
- References:
- Complete References should be given in Endnote; however, it is the responsibility of the author to set them (if asked) after sending the manuscript.
- Text and references must follow the format outlined in the Chicago Manual of Style 16th edition.
- All endnotes citing books must contain the complete title, name of the author(s), place of publication, publishing company, and date.
- All historical names, titles, and non-English terminology & words must be transliterated properly according to the table enlisted on the journal’s website.
