This research delves into the intrinsic connection between natural resources and human habitation on Earth, emphasizing the divine creation of these resources by Allah Almighty. Natural resources, defined as elements not influenced by human intervention during their creation, encompass various substances integral to economic dynamics. Of these, vegetation and minerals play fundamental roles, with forests standing out as a paramount natural resource among flora. The optimal utilization and preservation of forests emerge as pivotal factors for human survival. Forests impact human life diversely, offering numerous uses and benefits that have been harnessed throughout history for development and sustenance. However, improper, unnecessary, and reckless exploitation of forests has resulted in irreparable problems and losses. This paper contends that, akin to the Prophet's (ﷺ) comprehensive and universal teachings fostering human growth, his teachings encompass multifaceted aspects, particularly regarding natural resources. The Prophet's (ﷺ) teachings shed light on various dimensions of natural resources, particularly addressing scientific and practical measures for the protection and proliferation of trees. This study aims to highlight the teachings and actions of the Prophet (ﷺ) specifically pertaining to the protection of forests. Employing an analytical research method, the paper seeks to uncover the beneficial uses of forests, strategies for their protection. It also explores the practical steps taken by the Prophet (ﷺ) to safeguard forests. The outcomes of this research aim to provide insights into how the prophetic teachings on forest conservation can be applied in the contemporary era. The findings will contribute to formulating recommendations and suggestions for integrating these teachings into modern environmental conservation practices, thereby fostering a harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature.
