Abstract

The interrelationship of the universe, nature, and man, when examined in the light of Qur’ānic studies, reveals an intricately balanced system of divine harmony and purposeful design. The Qur’ān presents a comprehensive cosmological vision in which every element of creation animates or inanimate exists in a state of submission to the Creator, reflecting His wisdom, power, and mercy. Humanity, within this cosmic framework, holds a distinctive yet responsible position as the vicegerent of Allah on earth, entrusted with maintaining balance, justice, and sustainability in all spheres of life. The Qur’ānic worldview thus defines the relationship among man, nature, and the universe not as one of conflict or exploitation but of cooperation, reflection, and moral accountability. In essence, Qur’ānic studies illuminate the interrelationship between the universe, nature, and man as an integrated moral, spiritual, and ecological system rooted in tawḥīd. The Qur’ān envisions a world where every aspect of creation participates in divine order and where humanity’s role is to live in harmony with that order protecting, nurturing, and reflecting the Creator’s wisdom on earth. This relationship, grounded in reverence and responsibility, provides a timeless framework for addressing modern environmental challenges and reestablishing balance between man and the cosmos under the guidance of divine revelation.
