Abstract

This research is based on the novels of the northern writer "Ḥanā Mīna and the Pakistani writer, Shawkat Ṣiddīquī. Both authors have written on the living styles of Eastern and Western women. In my research, I have tried to compare the living styles of both women.  This research contains the characteristics, differences, similarities, results of comparison and literary technical elements of both women in the light of Qur’ān and Ḥadīth. From reading the novels, it is clear that the Eastern woman prefers to live within the limits of Islām and transmit Islām to their generations. Dealing with worldly sufferings and difficulties in the hereafter looks promising for the best reward.  Whereas the western woman considers Islām as an obstacle to progress and a prison for herself. This is the reason why she destroys her hereafter in exchange for a few days' luxury of this world.
