Abstract

This article provides an analytical review of women's rights granted by Islam and their relevance in contemporary times. It delves into the comprehensive framework of rights bestowed upon women in Islamic teachings, encompassing spiritual, social, economic, and legal dimensions. From the right to education, inheritance, and independent financial dealings to the emphasis on dignity, respect, and equality, Islam offers a balanced approach to gender roles. The article critically examines how these rights align with modern human rights discourse and addresses misconceptions often associated with Islamic principles regarding women. Furthermore, it explores challenges in implementing these rights in various cultural contexts and highlights the need for a renewed understanding to uphold the true spirit of Islamic teachings in the modern era. This study aims to bridge gaps in perception and practice, advocating for a more equitable and informed approach to women's rights within and beyond Muslim societies.
