Abstract

A Review of the Contributions of Shaykh-ul-Islām Muftī Muḥammad Taqī ʻUthmānī to the Ḥadīth Sciences, is a research article that sheds light on the important scholarly contributions of Shaykh-ul-Islām Muftī Muḥammad Taqī ʻUthmānī in the field of Ḥadīth. Muftī Muḥammad Taqī ʻUthmānī is a distinguished religious scholar and expert in Ḥadīth, who has dedicated his life to the promotion and reformation of Islamic sciences, especially the science of Ḥadīth. This article reviews in detail the Maulānā's commentary and interpretation of Ḥadīth, his selected research works, and his writings. His contributions not only include the teaching and learning of traditional Ḥadīth, but he also played an important role in the research of Ḥadīth texts under modern challenges. In addition, the biography, scholarly insight, and influence of Muftī Muḥammad Taqī ʻUthmānī’s research works can be clearly seen in Muslim societies and at the global level.
