The fact is very clear that Islam is a complete systematic religion and way of life, providing guidance for every aspect of a human being's life. Beliefs, worship, and all aspects of transactions. The depth of faith and the spiritual enlightenment through worship not only illuminate human hearts but also provide practical guidance for material well-being. It aims to build an exemplary personality through the harmonious integration of the spiritual and material aspects of human existence. Worship is not only meant to maintain spiritual comfort but also encourages a balanced and healthy lifestyle, endorsing recreational activities and sports. Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ) set several practical examples in this regard, which were followed by his companions and later generations of Muslims. These activities, such as running, horse riding, archery, javelin throwing, shooting, wrestling, jumping, or other physical exercises, continue to be beneficial even today. In this article, various forms of sports and physical activities prevalent during the time of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) are mentioned. The aim is to draw parallels with contemporary times and highlight the timeless relevance of these teachings in Islam. The article adopts a historical and analytical approach, presenting the obtained results in a logical order at the end.
