The Translation of Rhetoric of al Majāz al Lughavī in the Qur’ān into Urdu: (In the Muwaḍiḥ Al Qur’ān by Al Shaikh ʻAbd al Qādir)

This research is about translation of Qur’ānic rhetoric. Rhetoric is very important art of attractable discourse. Rhetorical points in the Qur’ān means of transmitting deep wisdom but requires discerning ayes. Qur’ān is an everlasting book to describe the complete code of life. Translation of Qur’ānic rhetoric is valuable to understand the Qur’ānic lessons. There are many kinds of rhetoric in the Qur’ān like metaphor, simile, allegory, repetition, and exaggeration to describe the hidden meanings, elaborate real concepts, and create vivid imagery that resonates with the reader. Within the many, important rhetorical questions during translation of Al Majāz Al Lughavī into Urdu in the Qur’ān are subtle substantive, descriptive, normative, and prescriptive insights which the researcher has extracted carefully, faithfully and meaningfully, from the words, the contexts and the clues, to make manifest their latent, universal, and enduring wisdom. In this paper, we discussed the translation of rhetoric of Al Majāz Al Lughavī into Urdu language as treated in the Muwaḍiḥ Al Qur’ān written by ʻAbd al Qādir Diḥlavī, it is first translation of Qur’ān in Urdu. Initially, we described the Arabic rhetoric in Al Majāz Al Lughavī. Ultimately, the conclusion terminates in the results, there come the references the paper exploits.
